Tri Postal is not an architectural project in the classical sense. The occupied ground floor of a former post sorting center demonstrates how it is the people who make a place. Tri Postal temporarily occupies a space in Gare du Midi awaiting renovation and opens its doors to social and cultural projects of all kinds. It is about solidarity, volunteering and the spirit of involving and not forgetting the most vulnerable inhabitants of a neighbourhood. Each of the six axes contains a different focus and function: from a bike workshop and a dance lab, to a training center for homeless women to regain their autonomy. Tri Postal takes care of its environment beyond its walls, it connects Brussels residents with newcomers, and reimagines a center of social and cultural production.
