Park Ouest
On the brownfield site of the future Park Ouest in Molenbeek, a modular pavilion, which can also be fully dismantled, has been built from recycled materials. Designed by the collectif Dallas and Skope architectural firms in response to a call for projects launched by Brussels Environment, this temporary building offers local residents a friendly space to enjoy until the park is open. It is home to a multi-purpose room, kitchen, office, storage area and sanitary facilities. Its structure is based on a single module used in repetition, making it a simple, economical facility that can be easily adapted to different uses. But beyond the architectural object, the project is the fruit of a close collaboration between Collectif Dallas and Skope, who combined design and construction in a firmly circular approach. Each component has been designed from recycled materials, requiring constant adjustments, technical compromises and architects who were highly inventive. The real strength of this project lies in its ability to be seamlessly integrated into the neighbourhood, becoming a lively place where strong social ties are forged. A three-voice guided tour will be led by Skope, Collectif dallas and Brussels Environment.
