In these times of climate crisis and resource scarcity, there is an urgent need to take a critical look at the use of materials in contemporary architecture. Many material extraction techniques and production processes are energy-intensive and polluting, and the construction sector is a huge contributor to the climate change we are now experiencing. New visions for the future are required and architecture has to come up with sustainable alternatives in order to help make a difference Urban invites BC architects & studies & materials to share with us their opinion on about twenty contemporary buildings in Brussels.
