AgwA

AgwA proposes a functional, straightforward architecture, imbued with the concern to respond to contextual, human, programmatic and economic issues, through solutions that are simple, but always effective and sustainable in ecological and economic terms. AgwA has developed a particular expertise in transformation and renovation projects, of extremely varied scales (public and private, large and medium scale).

In all its projects, AgwA devotes a great deal of effort to understanding the fundamental issues of each assignment and is particularly interested in finding innovative, flexible and suitable typologies. As far as possible, the aim is to design spaces that are adaptable to a variety of future uses. The reflection on circularity and reuse is at the heart of AgwA's concerns, which tries to maintain, as directly as possible, existing structures.

AgwA is active in teaching and research, mainly at the Université Catholique de Louvain, the Université Libre de Bruxelles, ULiège and KU Leuven Sint Lucas Brussel. AgwA brings together both French and Dutch speaking architects and engineers and works in the three regions of Belgium and abroad.

In addition, AgwA is currently preparing an exhibition at the BOZAR Museum in Brussels, jointly organised by BOZAR and A+ Magazine, which will open in October 2022, and where many of the office's projects will be presented to the general public.
