The vision for this project is to create a "Garden Square" that fosters social interaction, leisurely strolls and recreational activities, while enhancing its landscape and environmental qualities. The iconic lime trees on the square will be preserved and complemented by a new, carefully selected range of plants. This planting will considerably reduce the effects of the urban heat islands that are increasingly affecting our cities.

The project will provide a level-access square, exemplary in terms of accessibility for persons with reduced mobility (PRM). This square will be divided into three sections, offering a variety of adaptable spaces for all users, from pedestrians to cyclists, as well as traders (market gardeners and hospitality businesses).

The first section involves creating an undulating lawn area with varying levels and a diverse and varied planting scheme. The heart of the square will offer a cooling area with fountains, designed as a communal area, where the Châtelain market can easily be set up. Finally, the third section, known as the "forest grove", invites visitors to relax on its terraces and benches, making it an ideal spot for conversation.
