Open production hall for BC Materials
BC materials
The open structure of the Production Hall for BC materials provides an innovative answer to the question of the necessity of space in ever-densifying cities. Here, a consortium of different research institutions and architects explore building as a ritual, or even as ceremony. This production hall is fully demountable and transportable to other terrains, celebrating building as a process and showing us a state of permanent temporariness. It consists of a wooden roof, containers, second hand concrete tiles and stackable concrete blocks. Together with its rain recuperation and use of renewable energy, the hall becomes an infrastructure for carbon neutral productivity and offers opportunities for new ways of production in the city.
