Located in the heart of Brussels, this eco-renovation accommodates 12 residential units forming a transgenerational housing group, adaptable to people with reduced mobility.

The accommodation is managed by a social real-estate agency, while there is a reception and support centre on the ground floor. There is a common vegetable garden on the roof. The surroundings of the building have been permeabilised and planted. Nature is also present in the building thanks to the use of natural and raw materials. Thanks to its high-performance technical installations, the building produces a good proportion of the energy needed to operate it and does not emit any pollutants into the city.

The entire renovation is based on repairing and revealing the existing structures in a sustainable, joyful and lively approach: the existing volume is brought (back) to life by the functional use of natural materials, in their simplest form, and by reintroducing plants on the ground floor and on the roof.
