In 2012, BNP Paribas Fortis announced its intention to rebuild its head office located at Montagne du Parc, in the heart of Brussels. The following year, a competition to find the right architects for the project was organised in close collaboration with the City of Brussels and the government architect responsible for guaranteeing the quality of urban projects in the capital. Austrian firm Baumschlager Eberle was appointed to build the complex, in collaboration with Belgian firms, including architects Styfhals & Partners and designers Ncbham.

The new structure, built from 2017 to 2021 in the same location as the previous one, was conceived of as an urban 'home' embellished with semi-public spaces. The project's objectives included perfect integration into the urban context and construction that meets the most advanced standards in terms of durability and working comfort.
