Homo Urbanus, une exposition de Bêka & Lemoine
From October 6 to 16, 2022, at cinema Galeries (Brussels) :
10 films, 10 cities, 10 hours of films. An immersion and a vibrant homage to what we have been most cruelly deprived of during the time of successive confinements: the public space.
With Homo Urbanus, Bêka & Lemoine explore the urban world with their wit and humor, inviting us to observe in detail the multiple forms and complex interactions that exist every day between people and their urban environments.
Navigating aimlessly, without compass or map, through the territory of the city, Bêka & Lemoine search for snippets of daily life, gestures, places, scenes that make a city what it is, depicting it in its present, in the simplicity of its daily life. They listen to its rumbling, the noise of its depths - and slip into its rhythm.
Opening in the presence of the artists: Thursday, October 6 at 7 pm, at the Galeries cinema.
Free entrance every day from October 7 to 16, from 2 to 8 pm.
Two feature films by Bêka & Lemoine will also be screened at the Galeries cinema: Koolhaas Houselife (6/10 - 8:45pm) and Moriyama-San (7/10 - 8:45pm), in the presence of Ila Bêka.
Organized by Le p'tit ciné asbl, as part of the activities of the festival En ville ! throughout the year, and in collaboration with the cinema Galeries.
